Vessel reported problem with MF/HF MBDP – unit was out of order, unfortunately the Manufacturer (STR) did not exist anymore, therefore no spare parts were available. Arranged delivery of a new MF/HF and an additional Inm C to Canada between Christmas and New Year. Our technician attended the vessel in Canada, installed and commissioned new MF/HF Radio at -25 degrees Celsius. There was only 24 hours time, so job was completed at next call to Alexandria, Egypt. Inm C was installed (needs some paintwork), VDR APT performed, GMDSS Survey conducted, Radar Software was upgraded, Radars pedestal serviced and the Anemometer was repaired. Luckily this time at +25 degrees Celsius.
Vessel was also attended by Class and was released without further remarks.
